West Village Cafe

West Village Cafe is a new gem in the South Surrey neighbourhood and everyone should pay them a visit. Here are my top 5 reasons why:

1. The space is wonderful. If you’re looking for a cool place to hang out in, look no further. The chic & modern LA style interiors creates the perfect setting for any get together or much needed me time. The natural colours and bold patterns easily draw you in to its quiet glam. They have truly transformed the space that used to be occupied by Wired Monk. Bar stools, chairs and sofas… they have them all!

2. They serve good food (& coffee!). Talk about quality ingredients, plenty of house-made food (roasted meats and insanely delicious freshly baked almond croissants), locally sourced food (Republica coffee beans and local pies) & fresh ingredients. From what I see, all the food & drinks were prepared with care and as a customer, I appreciate that. Now I must be honest, I haven’t been able to try their lunch & dinner menu items yet but I will be back to do so.

3. They are open late. Okay, maybe not super late but 8pm every day and that’s perfect for coffee dates or evening cram sessions. We all know how hard it is to find a cool coffee shop to hang out in after 6pm. You can grab a coffee here or have a bite for lunch or dinner. Maybe take home some dessert too!

4. They have cute merchandise for sale. If you want to support local beyond the dining experience, why not buy yourself a branded product? West Village Cafe has locally sourced aprons, mugs and tumblers! You can easily grab some macarons for a nice gift too.

5. They have fabulous service. Let’s face it, this is the deal breaker. The staff at West Village Cafe are knowledgeable and friendly. They are sure to make you feel at home and what’s also great is they are proud of the products they serve. In my opinion, if the staff if eager to tell you about their food and how much they love it, there’s a good chance they are pretty darn sincere about it.

Parking: Plenty of free parking available.
Pros: Great space and food. There aren’t very many places in Surrey like this one!
Cons: Entering the complex can be tricky if you are on the wrong side of the road.
Interesting Fact: They make small batches of their baked goods to keep them fresh. They have future plans to open a location in Langley!
